PAUL VIDALIN

Paul is an IFMGA Mountain Guide and the current ACMG President. He's also a CAA Professional Member and holds his 80hr Wilderness First Aid certification.

An avid climber and skier throughout his formative years, with an insatiable hunger for the all-things outdoors, Paul was destined for a career in the mountains. He begun this path by working for the Parks Services - initially for Alberta Parks in Kananaskis and later on for Parks Canada - where he worked as a Park Ranger and as part of the Visitor Safety Team, but his true calling was to become a Mountain Guide. As such, Paul ultimately left Parks to pursue guiding full-time and has been an IFMGA/ACMG Mountain Guide since 1998/1999.

Ever since then, Paul has pursued this calling, guiding guests on the rock walls from Europe to US and skiing the finest of lines that Western Canada has to offer. Amongst his many accolades, Paul has worked as the area manager for CMH Monashees for a fair few years, and recently was chosen as the President of the ACMG.

When he's not climbing or skiing, Paul enjoys mountain biking, kite boarding, and fishing. He's also mastered the art of brewing his own beer from scratch at his own basement brewery in Canmore, where he resides with his wife Niki and their dog.

You can find Paul on the Avalanche Skills Training 2 course, and you can also request him for a Private Day of Ski Touring throughout the winter.
